Privacy Policy
What we collect
Nuance. stores your nickname, an anonymous technical identifier (UUID), and your game history (Chroma scores, colors played) in your browser via localStorage.
At the end of each game, your score is sent to our database (Supabase) to populate the global leaderboard, friend challenges, and Daily Shades. The data sent includes: your anonymous identifier, your nickname, your Chroma score, per-round scores, and the colors played. No personally identifiable data (email, IP address, device) is collected by Nuance.
Cookies
Nuance. uses Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand how the game is used. GA4 may place cookies in your browser for audience measurement purposes. These cookies are managed by Google and subject to Google's privacy policy.
Data collected by analytics
GA4 collects anonymous usage data: page views, game start and end, scores, use of the share feature, and statistics page views. This data is aggregated and cannot be used to identify an individual player. No nicknames are sent to Google.
Data shared with third parties
Apart from Google Analytics and Supabase (database hosting, Supabase Inc., Singapore — EU Paris region), Nuance. does not transmit any personal data to third-party services. The site contains no advertising or tracking pixels.
Database
Scores are stored on Supabase (EU region — Paris). The data retained includes: anonymous identifier, nickname, Chroma score, game colors, and date. This data is publicly visible in leaderboards (global, challenges, Daily Shades). Friend challenges automatically expire after 48 hours.
Hosting
The site is hosted on Netlify (Netlify, Inc., San Francisco, CA). Netlify may collect technical connection data (IP address, user agent) as part of normal web page delivery. This data is not accessible to the creator of Nuance.
Delete your data
Since your data is stored only in your browser, simply clear the site data for playnuance.com in your browser settings. No data will remain.
Changes
This policy may evolve, particularly if connected features (online leaderboard, analytics) are added. Any changes will be reflected on this page with the update date.
